The Bible is amazing! It is so awesome to read all the wonderful promises that God has for us. These verses about prospering are interesting – because as you will notice, they are all contingent on something.
Malachi 3:10: Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.
Psalm 112:5: It is well with the man who deals generously and lends, who conducts his affairs with justice.
Ecclesiastes 5:10: Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless.
Timothy 6:7-10: For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
Psalm 37:21: The wicked borrows and does not pay back, but the righteous is gracious and gives.
Proverbs 13:11: Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow.
Proverbs 3:9-10: Honor the Lord from your wealth and from the first of all your produce; So your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine.
Proverbs 3:27: Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.
Proverbs 22:9: He who is generous will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to the poor.
